If there's a game in Delhi, I try and make at least 2-3 hours on at least one day of the match. Entrance is usally free and Kotla falls on my daily route. So it is usually convenient to at least make it on one day.

This year that isn't possible and hence reliance on TV.

At the grounds in domestic matches, whoever you find is a hardcore cricket follower variety...you can talk some real cricket! :)Soulberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15830619858224129215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2738469627366735028.post-63404166858009195082008-12-29T18:52:00.000-08:002008-12-29T18:52:00.000-08:00SB, I am happy that they worked hard to win. As you rightly put it TN needs to improve a lot to beat Mumbai and even their semifinal opponent (UP) is a formidable one.

Yomahesh is another Agarkar. He promises a lot with his pace and lift but fails to take wickets. He played 3 matches and took just 4 wickets. Other seamers Amarnath and Ganapathy have performed better than him.
Player Mat Inns Overs Mdns Runs Wkts BBI BBM Ave Econ SR 5 10 Ct St
VY Mahesh 3 5 59.5 3 215 4 4/90 4/90 53.75 3.59 89.7 0 0 3 0

Yes SB, Balaji's performance is tempting and of course pace is not everything if he can put the ball in the right spot all the time like the kiwi Larsen. If he can do that then he can be handful in ODIs where taking the pace of the ball is the mantra nowadays. But tests require bit more pace to be effective.Balajhihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17530684730088152328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2738469627366735028.post-9636935744625107102008-12-29T16:31:00.000-08:002008-12-29T16:31:00.000-08:00Exactly! At times I despaired for TN, I really did, before Balaji pulled out a match-winning performance out of nowhere.

Makes you wistful to see a national comeback, it does, but I'm not sure if that'll ever happen.

TN now play UP in the semis right? They'll need to tighten up their game considerably, as you said.Maithreyihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09976262637150962998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2738469627366735028.post-27355628782319499282008-12-29T09:36:00.000-08:002008-12-29T09:36:00.000-08:00i dont follow ranji trophy but one thing is for su...i dont follow ranji trophy but one thing is for sure...u r doing a great job in covering and promoting it...

keep it up...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
